Asham needs to stay. The Penguins lack toughness on the forwards. He is an above average 4th line who can fight and play 8 minutes a game and doesn’t hurt the team when he is on the ice. The sad thing is Asham was probably our best forward in the playoffs 2 years ago against the lightning (that’s probably why we lost after being up 3 games to 1). His suspension in the playoffs was bs. He has never been fine or suspended before and get 4 playoff games for a cross check to the chest and a brush across the back of Schenn’s helmet with his glove. Should have been a 2 game suspension at worst.

Sullivan def needs to stay especially if we can’t keep staal. Asham brings a lot grit and fight to this team but doesn’t seem to step up when it counts. I like Asham but I think he’s on his way out. Thanks for your services Arron and please don’t knock out Crosby when you play us again.

Please just keep Sullivan, he made a world of difference for the PP. Park and Asham are expendable in my opinion (But then again I am not the one making millions of dollars to make the decisions).

he might just be the odd man out. penguins should distance themselves as far away from that embarassing first round series as much as they can, and if asham is the scapegoat then so be it. we know james neal isnt going anywhere…letting asham go might send a message.
