We must be watching different games because these have all been wicked exciting games to watch. I hate the logic that more goals equals a better game; it's beyond ridiculous.

You're watching one of the best goalies currently in the league against one of the greatest to ever put the pads on. Why would you think this would be high scoring?

Pay no attention to Tackle, if he knew what the trap was he would know the Devils don't run it anymore. They are a fore-checking team that has won the corner battles and have set up individual matchups shutting down Brown and Kopitar the last few games. And not only has Quick become vulnerable, the Devils have gotten under his skin, as evidence in the cheap shot he threw at the player (can't remember who it was) that was taken down and pushed into the crease.

The Devils are actually getting healthier with the re-insertion of Sykora and Tallinder, and if Kovalchuk gets some good rest hopefully he will be able to skate at even 80%, because he clearly cannot make cuts, stick handle, or shoot like the player everyone has seen.

Brodeur has made some awesome saves in the playoffs, particularly in the OT games against Florida and in the first few Rangers games. But he hasn't been as dominant as Quick. Even if the Devils win, Quick will win it.

And in 2003, Giguere never should have won. It shoudl have gone to Scott Niedermyer, but (I'm guessing here) the votes probably split between him and Brodeur.

Also, does anyone know when they vote on it? If it goes 7 games, do they vote on it before or after the game? They seem to award it pretty quickly.

Dude, You have no idea what you're talking about. The Devils don't trap, and neither do the Kings. Both teams dump the puck in and have aggressive forechecks, and both have their D pinch all the time. The team that played closest to trapping was the Rangers. Neither the Devils or the Kings sits on their D waiting for mistakes. And I'm sure the ratings this year would be SO MUCH BETTER if the Flyers were in it because only the Flyers can make people stop watching basketball...

So let me get this, people like when their team sets on defense for an entire game and waits for the other team to screw up so they can get some offense and that's entertaining? lol you people are a joke. It's not just me, it's guys like Scottie Bowman and others who see this. This Stanley Cup doesn't even have half of the excitement that game 4 Flyers/Penguins series. That's one game against all 5 of the Stanley Cup. lol ratings don't lie either people. Yes winning is everything in sports, but money talks. Though I guess my 3rd grade intelligence doesn't understand that. Hockey should be exciting, not watching grown men hug. Though Devil fans don't care, because they're more people playing farmville than there is Devil fans put together. Kings will close it out at home. It was nice while it lasted for Jersey Shore lol

Devils might just have the big Satan (Saddam Hussein) himself on their side. He resides in the Hades of California. Los Angeles, which is why the Kings looked like they were gonna sweep, but Satan said "wait a minute" and let the Devils come back! Rangers choked on a New Yawk bagel, Philly on a cheesesteak, Pittsburgh on a sandwich with fries stuffed inside the bread; Phoenix choked on some tumbleweeds....Vancouver on some salmon!!!
Brodeur hasn't even been the best goalie in the finals... let alone the entire playoffs. So there is zero chance he will win the Conn Smythe in a loss, and hes not even a lock to win it if the Devils win.

In fact, I think its far more likely that Quick will win the Conn Smythe even if the Kings happen to lose. After all, the Conn Smythe is not awarded for outstanding play during a couple games of the final round... its awarded to the player judged most valuable to his team during the entire playoffs. Brodeur wasn't bad during the first three rounds, but his play certainly was not why the Devils made it to the finals. Hell, one could also argue a couple weak goals by Brodeur helped the Devils crawl into a 3-0 hole to start the finals. Hardly MVP material.

The only way Brodeur would win the CS is:

Side Note: When Jean-Sébastien Giguère won it as the losing goalie he was hands down by far not only the best goalie in the playoffs and the finals... he was the best player in the playoffs without question. That is something that you can't even come close to saying about Brodeur this year. If the Devils win game six and the Kings end up winning it in game seven, Quick should win it hands down. If he doesn't, he got screwed very hard by someone who wanted to make a headline story.

So the Rangers have less than no skill whatsoever, then? Because I'm not understanding how they beat you if they have nothi- ohhh, you're just bitter. Righto, carry on.

Also: how do you suppose a 3-2 series where the Devils have the last two wins suggests "they can't compete with the Kings," exactly?

You Devils better hope and pray you can come back, because this is your only chance at it. Who do you all think Zach Parise will go to next year? Can't pay a guy tons of money when you can only entertain a high school attendance at your games.

lol must be Devils fans. All 3 of you, who want nothing but to desperately hope the Devils win so you can have your parking lot parade. Yeah good one a 3rd grader, gee I'm so hurt by your insults. Tell me, is it really hard to watch paint dry or can you really entertain yourself when you do? I'm just curious, never watched Devil hockey that long, because I want to strangle myself around the 3rd period because I've seen Dancing with the Stars more exciting than the trap lol
