A lot was made of the number of players the Blackhawks weren’t able to re-sign due to salary cap issues after their Cup run, but the single biggest loss for the organization was John McDonough wanting a name (Bowman, and there all he did was get a son) and not a lunch-pail guy like Tallon as GM. Tallon gave the organization 20+ years of his service in varying capacities, and was told to not let the door hit him on the way out. Here’s to hoping he gets the Panthers a Cup, and hoping he beats the Blackhawks to do it,

I’d like to see Garth offer Knuble a 1 year deal. He could work w/ Matt and Marty on the 4th line and make it more productive while adding veteran leadership in the room.

Agreed but steve sullivan is a UFA and isnt quite as vocal as knuble is. When talbot left the pens and billy g retired they lost the big talkers in the room and instead have alot of guys that “lead by example” which isnt bad but i do believe you need a mix. Points wise sullivan is better. Leadership wise id say knuble is better in my opinion.

pens have steve sullivan for that role, though i dont know if he did a better job than recchi or guerin did with the leadership part, he definitely was productive on the score sheet. i dont see knuble putting up 20 goals or being as valuable on the pp.

To Joe Yerdon, way to take a nice artical from washington post and completely chop it into crap. Good luck to knubs i hope he keeps playing, and if you wanna know the true story and not the one that makes it like theirs more drama in D.C.. Go to the post and read it for yourself.

For the rigth price i wouldnt mind seeing him come to the pens on a 1 year deal. He would fill the role that billy guerin had when we won the cup. Good veteran leadership.
