The reporter asked a moronic question. I thought Sutter’s response was awesome. Only a Devils fan would whine about it like the poster above.

The reporter should take a little positive from his idiocy though, he’s one of the only reporters to make Sutter laugh at a presser.

Ah, come on now. These aren’t fans asking questions. These are reporters that are supposed to be experts in their sports. They ask all sorts of questions, many times to try and get a rise out of a coach to get a quote. To call him obnoxious after a reporter asks a question about a goal and doesn’t even know who scored the goal?! Asking a question about a goal and not knowing who scored it is simply poor quality reporting. They deserve to be called out for asking a ridiculous question.

Answering the question about sweeping in the Stanley Cup Final by injecting a little perspective into the conversation was just fine with me…

Yeah whatever Sutter. I get a kick out of some these coaches who come on for the post game press conference and attempt to make the reporters look like idiots, as though they’re responsible for his team’s recent loss, and why? Simply because his team just lost the bloody game! Sure the reporters always get knocked for asking dumb questions and they do for the most part, etc., but how many conferences have we seen where the losing coach comes on and acts like a total obnoxious jerk? When Sutter came into the league as a rookie, he would have been priveledged to have gotten the opportunity to even be asked to come on for the post game press conference and meet the media. My how times change as he now resembles a total arrogant moron with his smart-ass answers. Just be happy you’re even up 3-1 in the series Sutter, even though two of your club’s three victories have come in overtime on the road no less. When I see a coach act like a disgusting jerk, I actually wish his club had just been eliminated as opposed to be leading the series 3-1. Mark my words that when the Kings wrap things up on Saturday, you will not see any sarcasm or smart-ass responses from Sutter when he appears for the post game conference. Almost makes me wish they wouldn’t even ask him to appear when the Kings win!!!
