Video: Can the Kings complete the sweep?

Jun 5, 2012, 10:00 PM EST

A lot of people have already penciled the Los Angeles Kings in for their first-ever Stanley Cup championship. The New Jersey Devils, obviously, aren’t among those people. (Just check Adam Henrique‘s ‘stache.) So can the Kings wrap things up with a sweep on Wednesday? Ed Olczyk provides his perspective on that subject in the video below.

I hate these types of headlines. Can they? Of course they can. Can the New Jersey Devils come back and win the series? Of course they can. Is one more likely than the other, yes. I think the operative word is ‘will’. And the Los Angeles Kings probably will sweep the series.

Talk about bandwagon jumpers. There was virtually no media coverage of the Kings outside of SoCal until they stormed into the finals. Now everyone with a mic wants to pontificate.

Predictions are predictions, they don’t mean jack.

I think this is the same analyst in game 2 who said Brodeur was great in net and “it’s just a matter of time” for the Devils to score in OT, that the Devils had a “quiet confidence” and that the Kings were “animated” (implying not in a good way). A couple of minutes later the puck was in the back of Jersey’s net.
