Suspected Canadian killer Luka Magnotta was apparently a huge hockey fan

True life is stranger than fiction and for Canadian porn star/alleged cannibal-murderer Luka Magnotta we find out he was a huge hockey fan.

Deadspin shared Magnotta’s affinity for Sergei Fedorov in the form of a tribute video he made about the former Red Wings great. Magnotta also took up his time on HF Boards with a huge love of Capitals stars Alex Ovechkin and Alexander Semin as’s Chase Hughes notes.

Magnotta was arrested in Berlin at an Internet cafe and faces charges for murdering and dismembering a student and mailing his body parts to Canadian political party leaders. Chances he’ll get to watch much of Ovechkin and Semin from prison are looking pretty slim.

“Oh yes, I’m a huge Ovechkin fan, I’d love to make him into a rug.”

Why do you specify he’s Canadian in the headline? Ever written an article the headlined, American attacks Brian Stow, or American kills player in drunk driving incident? No you don’t, because its not rare enough.

Why does he say Canadian in the headline?

Because I had no idea you peaceful northerners were capable of such madness!

    Ah…a commie chaser.

well, considering NBCsports is an American outlet, it would be a bit strange to say American killer. One would assume it was an American unless otherwise noted..

Ovechkin scores twice, otherwise he gets the hose.

So was jack the ripper but no need to report on it

  8. ynothockey - Jun 5, 2012 at 12:22 PM

I’m not Canadian but why does it matter if he was and a hockey fan?? He may also have been a sponge bob square pants fan also. Who cares

Now we know he’s a hockey fan, I hope the hockey community shows him some support. NOT…. Why help fill this guys sick need of being famous? What a stupid article for a hockey website, even if it has to do with hockey. This guy does not deserve any more attention.

So Im blocked by Craig Calcaterra every chance he gets every day. Today I was blocked from posting for this…

“Same with “Blue Jays Alex A is interested in [Insert player name here]“”

While OldGator is more than welcome to post

“And you, steeped in bile and irrelevance as you are, are neither very bright nor amusing yourself.”

Im glad to find out who has been doing this everyday after I post
Inform the gentlemen who run the hockey side of this site, I won’t be joining them for any more of their live events or contributing in anyway shape or form anylonger.

They can thank the bias and unprofessional Craig Calcaterra for chasing off one of the best contributors to hockey, now he can chase off Govminion and MrMojo and turn the hockey side into a ghost town
