Hackett won’t be the backup here next year. I think the Wild will either resign Harding or get a journeyman backup one a year contract. Then the following year Hackett will start and one their 2 other goalie prospects will be backup with the other one being moved in a trade.

On the subject of Roberto Luongo inexplicably waiving his NTC to play for an awful club, if employing former Lou goaltending coach Francois Allaire has the Maple Leafs in the running why would employing former Lou goaltending coach Ian Clark not give the Blue Jackets a similar appeal?

As a long time Pens fan way before the CBJ were in town. It looks like it might be time to look at the front office and make a clean sweep there. The team is in disarray and with the loss of another goalie off the market the front office is still asleep. It would be great to have team on the ice with the same excitement as The Columbus Chill brought to our town in the barn at the fairgrounds. I hope the CBJ can turn it around hockey in Columbus is good for the city and a winner would help.

They could go for Bachman. Not very experienced but young with potential. Don’t know how likely Dallas would be to let him go though.

sknut- Not like Minnesota has much of a choice in the matter, he is a UFA and going to see if he can get a shot as a number 1 somewhere. CBJ is probably his best shot to get that chance. He won’t get it in Minnesota

They should have traded for Bernier at the deadline. I can’t even imagine how much else they could’ve gotten along with him for Nash.

And even though I’m biased because I’m an RPI guy, Allen York looked great at the end of the season beating the Red Wings and Blues. I think if he gets used to life in the NHL, he could be really solid in the next couple of years.

Well this is depressing. The Jackets do need a netminder. And I’m not a fan of anyone outside of Bernier. And my opinion matters the most. So we need to get Bernier.
