The Kings winning the Cup will only increase the number of bandwagon fans …. It sickens me. In January, there were probably 150,000 real fans in the US and Canada combined…… Now, probably 15,000 per major city……=15,000,000+

pop: Doesn’t mungie’s incorrect statement just say it all about the lack of knowledge (or respect) the East coast has for anyone outside their time zone? I really think part of the reason so many Devils fans are pissed right now is because they don’t have a clue who anyone is on the Kings’ roster outside of some ex-Flyers. They just assume each year that whoever comes out of the West will get wiped up by the East representative. I sure am enjoying see the shoe on the other foot….

BTW mungie, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim ain’t nowhere near L.A. either. It’s all about trying to market your team to the largest possible geographic area. That’s why the Patriots dropped the Boston moniker all those years ago: To appeal to a larger fan base. Of course, being the incredibly crappy team they were for so long certainly didn’t help the attendance figures when they were the Boston Patriots.

Fun facts: The Angels tried that route back when they were called the California Angels. The Angels are actually L.A.’s oldest professional team, starting out in 1892. And once upon a time they actually played their games in L.A.

Kovalchuk was non-existant for the Devils and a lot of other devils. Parise does so much and has no help from any team-mates when it matters.

Blomfeld must be typing his “manifesto” on game 3. With his many “witticisms” and words in “quotations”. It looks like the “Kings” sealed the deal and took the devils “heart” “tonight”. Can’t say I’m happy except for gagne and slightly Richards. Carter and his “immature” “crybaby” attitude got him “shipped” to a cup winner. Can’t wait til he “bangs” a teammates “old lady” and destroys the chemistry

There can’t be much question about which team is better in this series. The Kings have relentlessly ground the Devils down in each game and took them out behind the woodshed in this one. Just one more win (hopefully done in front of their long-suffering fans on Wednesday) and we finally get to see that big silver bowl everybody is always talking about….

Listening to DeBoer (Da Bore) whining about the first Kings goal. Obviously since HE lost sight of the puck, the referee must have lost sight of it, too. This despite the Devils going on the PP SIX times before the refs finally called a penalty on them. What a classless jerk.
