Video: Jonathan Quick’s kick save

Jun 2, 2012, 10:34 PM EDT

An interesting sentiment was building quite a way through Game 2 of the 2012 Stanley Cup finals. Is Los Angeles Kings’ goalie Jonathan Quick in the New Jersey Devils’ head? The Devils tied up Game 2 1-1 since this save happened, but it’s still worth nothing this big save, especially if New Jersey isn’t able to find the twine again. They’ve only really beaten him “cleanly” once in this series so far, as the Devils’ other tally came of Kings forward Dwight King.

Fact: Jonathan Quick is the best goaltender in the NHL today !

    Dear Jonathan,

I’m a 52 year old Kings fan for some 39 years and I’m a huge fan of yours. What you’re doing for our team is incredible and words could never adequately describe the appreciation and adoration which we all have for your efforts. Your style is original, yet it’s consistent with the absolute greats of all time. I grew up in Montreal and Vancouver, playing hockey in the street and on the ice … and playing goal was always “my” position. My favorite goalies of all time are Rogatien Vachon and Vladislav Tretiak . But now, you sir will be added to that list. You’re an excellent young man and it’s a very special treat to witness your greatness ! :)
