Crosby, Tortorella feature prominently in NHL’s best soundbites of the season

Jun 1, 2012, 1:42 PM EDT

Over at The Score’s Backhand Shelf, there’s an outstanding compilation video of the best soundbites from the 2011-12 NHL regular season.

Featuring the likes of Sidney Crosby, Scott Hartnell, Steve Ott, Dave Bolland, Ryan Miller, Joe Thornton, Tim Thomas and, of course, John Tortorella, the video is a must-see.

(Warning: There’s an occasional bit of NSFW language.)

FYI: Considering the staying power and social media angle of #SuckItPhaneuf, I thought Hartnell should’ve been higher on the list. Just saying.

Every word that pours from the Soupcans mouth should be documented and passed around to future draftpicks as a guide in how to conduct yourself as a true champion in this league.

If it wasn’t for the Philadelphia Flyers and John Tortorella well ,well the NHL would be like a LA vs Jersey final,,,,,,,,,, no one would care !

some good stuff in there too, Lavy telling Ott to F off is pretty great. And i really don’t like the Penguins at all, but i love Crosby pushing away Voracek’s glove. I mean really, what was he supposed to do, pick his glove up for him? Some good stuff in those clips

Would have been better without the annoying music in the background making it difficult to hear a lot of it. But at least we didn’t have to sit through a 30 second commercial first.
