The state itself isn’t conservative, but Colorado Springs is probably just about the most right-wing city in the entire nation. Thomas is surrounded by a lot of like-minded individuals there.

Since when is Colorado a conservative state? Democratic senators, democrat Governor, Democrat controlled State Senate and Republicans control the house by 1 member(practically a 50-50 split). I’ve been there numerous times for extended stays and it is the most liberal area I’ve ever been to(especially the Denver, Fort Collins, Boulder area)

Thomas has had a house in Colorado for a while now… He moved there because he could no longer go out in public without being approached after winning the cup.

Why is Haggs once again trying to stir things up with Thomas? Leave the guy alone and who cares about his politics?! I read the article and saw Hags “tweet” about it as if he uncovered some conspiracy. First of all “Thomas abruptly sold his house and moved his family to politically conservative Colorado”. I find so many issues with that statement – maybe it wasn’t abrupt to him at all, maybe he got a great offer on the house, maybe his wife likes Colorado. “Moved his family” makes it sound like he is dictator who rules a family of submissive wives. Don’t you think they decided together? And why throw in the politically conservative? What if he moved to CA – would it be to get away as far away from Boston as possible?

Haggs says he might have moved to be close to the training facility of Team USA – but then introduces all the rest of this nonsense? The source said it was to be close to the training facility. Maybe he wants to get away from Hags who has his head so far up Seguin’s ass he has to make up stories to try to remain relevant.

Thomas might have had the best goalie performance ever in a SCF and I will always remember him for what he did during that run and during his incredible time here in Boston. I hope he is on the team come September but I wouldn’t blame him if he decided to go somewhere else. Its hacks like Haggs who benefitted from his phenomenal run in the playoffs; elevating everyone around him including an arrogant over weight beat writer.

As a professional athlete thomas should have known that his actions and comments would draw a lot of unwanted attention. Not to mention the way he handled it was very unprofessional. He created a distraction for his team that never went away. And real fans do care what their star players do off the ice because it represents the team they love so I believe this is a very relevant article considering Thomas is more than likely going to be traded.

All these CSNNE stories are put out by Joe Haggerty who has done nothing but work his own agenda to try and force Thomas out of town. I would seriously discount anything that comes from him
