Some of the “worst” Kings teams ever? Those were some of the best Kings teams ever. What is it that you don’t like?

I’ve been a King’s fan since 1973 … Dionne captained some of the “worst” King’s teams ever during his tenure in Los Angeles … I don’t like the man and he is one who I choose to forget …

I am a Canadian male who grew up playing hockey at a high level.

So it is heresy for me to say hockey is getting boring. But the sad truth is that it is. Skilled players are unable to flourish in today’s league.

Journalists can say all the want about fabulous 0-0 regulation tie games. But the only people they are convincing are themselves.

Rules changes are needed. Simple things like expanding the nets 1inch on each side would increase the amount of goals drastically.

Agreed. And he is spot on with his comments. These days, skill means little. The team that blocks the most shots, causes the most obstruction and digs the puck out of the corner best wins. WooHoo!

So…when Dionne retired in 1989…he was behind only Gretzky and Howe. Messier and Francis passed him later.
