I believe the Kings are masquareding as an eighth seed. They have a terrific goalie who played great all year but the team in front of him underachieved for the most part allowing them to slip into the eight spot. In reality, if they had played closer to their potential all year, they would have been seeded much higher. Great game plan and it seems to be working for them.

i agree, it’s painful for the fans and players. The devils had a great series, could have went either way and the devils prevailed. Rangers are in unchartered territory for themselves. They boast the youngest defense in hockey who are far from even reaching their prime, have a goalie in his prime and a few good young guys coming up. They also have a ton of cap room the next few years. it will be interesting.

Torts doesn’t deserve all the bs non Ranger fans keep showing on these blogs. He is tough, holds players accountable, and speaks his mind. I see good things for the Rangers for a long time

Great series – Devils and Kings have actually improved during the playoffs.

Definitely best two teams are playing for The Cup – how bout them 8 and 6 seeds?!?!
