I wasn’t crying, but my reasons are better than Crosby’s. He can get back to me when Brodeur, Elias, and Stevens ruin his life for 20 years. That first year of my life when Brodeur wasn’t on the Devils must’ve been awesome, I wish I could remember it.

I like your enthusiasm nvandy42, but the chances are better he stays with NJ or signs elsewhere. NJ’s future looks a little shaky right now with Brodeur almost surely retiring, Kovalchuk’s insane contract, and the bankruptcy. However, NJ is the only NHL team Zach has known. Some team will surely offer him $8-9M if he’s just looking for a paycheck. Chuck Fletcher is not one to hand out inflated long term deals. Their offer will probably top out around $7.5M for 6yrs.

Trust me, I would be doing laps around the block in all my Wild gear screaming about it if Parise does sign. However, the fact that he is going to live here means little. He did grow up here. It’s more likely that Parise and his wife are comfortable in MN and want to spend time with family when they can than it is an indication he’ll sign with the Wild.

He’s gonna win the cup then come home to MN. If he wants to sleep in his own bed maybe he’s talkin about the one in the brand new home him and his wife just built on lake Minnetonka, 15 minutes from where the Wild play. Granlund and Parise are bringing the wild to the ship. No doubt!!

How come every time a big name its a UFA , Wing fans think they are headed to Detroit? Is it their beautiful city… ah, NO. Maybe their state of the art Arena… um, NOPE. How about the stellar way they ended their last season… Is say NO since they got bounced in the 1st Round by the Preds. Oh wait, I got it… they wanna be part of an aging franchise that is about to start a rebuild! Hope they let 47 year old Hasek come back to flop around in the crease… that will ensure NO playoffs next year! Give it up Wing fans!
