I am not proud of our fans that were throwing items at the Kings players however, they were not the only fans throwing items on the ice. There were King fans throwing items at the Coyote players too.
It would be nice if the Kings team and fans stop acting as if they are saintly and never have bad form! This starts with their GM.

People respond to the articles written. If there had been no article on how bad the Coyotes and their fans acted these responses would not have been written. As we try to move on we are constantly reminded of all that garbage all over again. It was a significant black eye on the NHL.

Coyotes had a great season yet all articles written are negative about Coyotes and their fans. Have 2 great teams playing for the cup. Maybe you should write about that??

“Luckily bad Coyotes fans have bad aim.”

The Coyotes fans are typical of ASU and their mascot sparkles. ASU has been a role model for PHX fans for 20-30 years as poor sports and very harsh treatment of opposing visitors. As far back as 1988 ASU fans where shouting horrible things to Steve Kerr before a AZ/ASU basketball game in Tempe. Steve Kerr’s dad had just been assasinated while teaching at Amercian University in Beirut. AZ officials requested arena officials to have the ASU fans stop shouting detestful things but were told the people were not breaking any laws and ignored the whole incident. In a book on that season Steve Kerr said he was in tears in the pregame from the abuse and went and sat on the bench. Wally Joyner came and sat down and talked with Steve telling him was a big fan of Steve’s. Wally was unaware of what had been taking place with ASU fans. Steve Kerr said having Joyner come and speak with him as another appreciative athlete gave him a temendous life and inspiration.

ASU has a long history of recuiting borderline athletes with criminal records. These people go along with the attitude of the ASU mentality which showed itself once as typica ofl PHX fans who abused the Kings after the loss. I can’t help but see the ASU connection.

The ASU mentality has permeated PHX unsportsmanship fans deeply and it still shows it’s ugly head today. What a sorry excuse for a fan. Perhaps the NHL should move the Coyotes to a city that would really appreciate having a pro hockey team like the Coyotes. They are a terrific team and deserve a lot more decent fan support than the 8,000 fans per game they have there with the bandwagon fans who come in only when things go well. PHX played a great season of hockey and I admire their ability to excel in the midst of an ownership that is adrift at sea.

As much as I criticized the Coyotes for their poor sportsmanship and being poor-losers, I think this is piling on the carcass. It’s over, move on.

I’m disappointed that my team (Nashville Predators) had to lose to Phoenix, only to see them completely lose their composure. I was praising Mike Smith as a good goalie when he beat us, and the Coyotes as a team that did pretty well.

Kings took my opinion on that and flipped it entirely. Mike Smith needs to stop lashing out like an angry child during games. It isn’t becoming of his position or the league.

Mike Smith is a douche. He had every opportunity to watch replays, collect his thoughts, and make things right. Instead, he’s too dumb to realize that he is wrong and refuses to take back anything he said. Hey mike smith, go ice rozsival’s bruised leg and shut the heck up.
