In that one season in Atlanta he brought in a number of players that have been the foundation to the current jets team that is looking way better than either the Leafs or Thrashers under Waddell. (Such as Ladd and Byfuglien) He is not there to see the result of his actions in Atlanta/Winnipeg but does deserve some of the credit for that franchise turning around this year and last
