Ya I'm preetty sure no ones disputing that the Rangers played in the Classic and that the Kings started the year in Europe ..that's pretty much the 10% you got right.

What you're so clearly wrong about is that;

A - The Bruins have played as much hockey as anyone else has in the last calendar year ("The criteria for the award are “excellence, growth, creativity, innovation, sound planning, implementation and outcomes.” The time period was from March 1, 2011 through Feb. 29, 2012.") when in fact they played 82 games plus 25 Playoff games including three 7 game series to win a Stanley Cup, played another 82 games this year plus an emotionally draining 7 game series.

B - That playing in the Winter Classic somehow equates to a tougher schedule, particularly for an Eastern team who sleeps in their own bed most nights anyways.

C - That because LA started the year in Europe (and shat the bed for most of the season miserably under performing all year) that somehow takes away from what the Bruins have been thru in the last calendar year.

D - ...you use too many all caps in your sentences.

Or if Rask hadn't gotten hurt and Thomas had a little more rest down the stretch- it's hard to look at last year's mind-blowing performance and say 'why didn't he do that again this year?', but he didn't look particularly good against the Capitals overall. Add Horton or rest Thomas more, and they'd have been in the second round anyway.

How can you say, "Boston’s first round exit in 2012 can be partially overlooked on the grounds of fatigue." They played the same amount of games as every other team in the league WITHOUT traveling to Europe to begin the season OR putting up with the circus called the Bridgestone Classic. They simply lucked out last year and played to their potential this year.

Now let's hear from the BruBags.

Agree, the Bruins do an excellent job of marketing and of building good relations with their season ticket holders of which I am one. Really the only issue I have with them right now is the minority of players and their media enablers whining about how tired they were all season after last year's playoff run. On behalf of the working slobs of America who go to work daily almost all of the year I request the following: please stop. Yes it was a great effort that you gave last year and it certainly affected the first couple of months of the season but most of the better players have said they thought this was no problem by the time the playoffs came around.

Great recognition. I am a B's fan, with no association with the team other than that. In my opinion- one of the biggest underrated thing about the Bruins as an Org is their marketing dept. Any B's fan will attest.
