Sour grapes in the handshake line is classless. Then they went into the locker room and cried and whined they were shafted by the refs.

I’m sure when they had the 5 on 3 for 1:42 late in the 3rd period PHX had visions of icing the game before they even started. They were aware of the questionable call on Doughty and it didn’t bother them. They only whine and cry over calls or noncalls they don’t like.

Either way they lost and I am glad. I am an avid Kings fan and season ticket holder for years but I don’t recall a team with such a negative attitude over every little thing that didn’t go their way. Too bad for them because when you focus on negative things that happen it keeps you from staying in the moment which is what cost them this game.

Not sure how I feel about Doan in the handshake line. I’m sure what he said wasn’t that aggressive but a captain shouldn’t start complaining to players at that point.

Actually, while he might be superstitious, it might also be a statement that “we don’t consider this worth celebrating; there is only one trophy worth celebrating and we haven’t won it yet.”
And whatever nonsense there may have been, from this neutral’s couch, it was easily the most exciting game of the series, perhaps the only exciting game of the series.
And it is a little weird that the Kings won’t have another home game for nearly two weeks!
