The Horton injury impacted every single line. But I agree that the team needs another top six forward. I'm good with Krecji-Lucic-Horton and Bergeron-Seguin-Marchand. But Peverley-Kelly need a better thrid linemate than Pouliot. If a top six forward is available, Marchand could go down to the third line and the Bruins would be a threat again.

Welcome back, Horty. We missed you.

Now, with Horton back and Dougie Hamilton ready to make his debut, this could be a very interesting season for the B's, provided key players stay healthy.

Like a boxer with a glass jaw, all hockey and football players should be evaluated for this diagnosable condition known as temporal mandibular joint dysfunction. One experts suggests this disease can exacerbate symptoms similar to concussion. Dings, bell ringers, headache and minor mtbi due to forces translated through the chin strap should be a focus. New data and a research initiative by the U.S. Army should help understand this element of trauma. Reducing the risk of these symptoms with an oral appliances used in the NFL for decades may help. www.mahercor.com
