Watch Martin Brodeur and Henrik Lundqvist show you how great goaltending is done

May 19, 2012, 4:03 PM EDT

With goalie like Henrik Lundqvist and Martin Brodeur in the Eastern Conference finals, you know you’re going to see some great saves. What you don’t necessarily expect is to see both of them put on a goaltending clinic at the same time.

Such was the case during the second period of the Rangers’ Game 3 victory as both Brodeur and Lundqvist made saves that we’ll be talking about through the rest of the playoffs.

Lundqvist stopping Ilya Kovalchuk on a breakaway was impressive enough but seeing Brodeur take one away from Ryan Callahan shows us that a 40-year-old can still look young.

As great of moments Brodeur and Lundqvist have had, LA’s Quick has had a better playoff. 11-1 and less than a 2 GAA is phenomenal against the NHL’s elite teams.

Quick is 11-1 not because of keeping his team in the game. LA has been scoring at a phenominal rate on top of it, making his life far less stressful than Hank the King’s Rangers have made it on him.

All hail king Henry. As a ranger fan, Marty does not look like a 40 yr old playing. He’s made some amazing stops

Kings and Rangers, two totally different playing styles. Quick is one hell of a goalie but Lundqvist is the real king.
