Sigh… Mike green is a big question. I would agree with testing the market and bringing him back. I dont want to give up to many of our assets on D. With semin gone it’ll free up a great deal of capspace as it is.
I gotta say its also great to hear green apeak confidently of the team. We do have that in us and i appreciate his passion!

Offensive defensemen have been premium for a while now. Even if he doesn’t play well, someone will pay big for him at the trade deadline. (Think what Toronto got for Kaberle in 2011)
That being said, I’ve heard he’s a jerk and parties way too hard. Sometimes guys like that only play well when they’re comfortable, and don’t take well to being pushed. From this article, it sounds like his attitude is all right, but he looks more like trade bait than a champion to me.

Defensively I feel great about this team with or without Green. Offensively…not so much.

When he’s healthy, the offensive presence he brings to the D group is outstanding, and given his ability to actually play defense has vastly improved, I’d say there’s a legit shot he makes a comeback in 2012-13 season to his old form.
