The Wings will still draft well and teach their younger players how to play Red Wing hockey.
When you have Kenny Holland, Jim Nill and Håkan Andersson calling shots and evaluating players you will always be ok.

Defensemen aren’t the only ones who play defense. Parise wins battles and plays hard on both ends.

Once again, Detroit is only a couple players away from reloading as Cup contenders.

Guys like Parise, Suter or Semin, Jackman would much rather play for a proven organization/chemistry, than ‘hope’ they can make teams like the Caps, Sens, Canucks better.

Of course – no guarantee either way, but if given the choice… they’d be wearing the Winged Wheel jersey. Holland, Babcock, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Howard, and some VERY good upcoming youth. No brainer.

Detroit wont get both Parise and Suter.

Totorella is obviously a sore loser and a whiner.

If Ottawa nabbed Parise, I dont think that would really make a tremendous improvement. Its their D that needs the defensive upgrade more than anything.
