Pathetic. And as usual the NHL won’t do much. I have never understood why the NHL takes into consideration if the receiving player was actually injured or not on the play. If the play is dirty, as in this case, the offending player should be dealt with severely whether there was an injury or not.

I agree … the Coyotes are showing themselves to be not only incapable of handling finances, but incapable of handling adversity on the ice too … the best suspension of all would be for the Kings to sweep these clowns in four !

Smith’s flopping is ridiculous. His acting is some of the best in the NHL. He should have gotten an oscar nomination for his performance when he got hit by Andrew Shaw in the first round against the Hawks. He is a major douche bag.

Not the worst I’ve seen. Definitely a dirty hit. Definitely a suspendable hit, at least one game maybe 2.

Dirty hit by a team quickly gaining a reputation as a dirty team. I’m with Sutter – I don’t think the Doan hit was too bad, but the Smith hack on Brown was dirty and his flop to get the goalie interference call was soccer-esque (no hockey class).
