I dont think they will be done, but he raised the franchise to the level its been for 2 decades. They Devils will continue, because he set such a high bar, but he will be sorely missed by the fanbase and team.

I always laugh when everyone else says that the Devils will be done without Marty. So how many of you actually know the Devils, farm system that well to make that call?

jkay – what philllyphan means is Brodeur doesn’t have many years left… but he’s making his last ones count in ridiculously great fashion. With that, the Devils don’t make the playoffs without him.

without Marty, NJ doesn’t make the playoffs. you’re going to miss him NJ, enjoy it while you can, his days are numbered. In my opinion, no other player is more responsible for the flyers not having a cup since the 70s. I will be glad to see him go but will stand and applaud the day he is inducted into the HOF.
