thanks namriverrat69 ... not only is what you say absolute fact, but as well, the "spirit" of your remarks is pure Blomfeld ! ... good show, jolly good show ! :) ... for some reason, I'll always remember this poll from circa 2003, in which NHL hockey was ranked behind things like Nascar, WWF and the Hunting & Fishing Channel, in terms of popularity with North American TV audiences ! ... I admit that golf has become my favorite game today, because I play it ... yet hockey will forever be in my blood and what a game it is, eh ? ... how people like ESPN don't get the message is beyond me ?

ps: hey man, were you one of the "swift boat" guys on the Mekong, back in the day ? :)

After great hockey games the other day. Top play was Sixers iguodala making a free throw. A free throw. Hockey on NBC. NBA on ABC all one big happy family. I heard more about one Sixers game then I saw the entire flyers playoff run. Pls so far west coast fans are weak anyway in their passion for their team.

Blomfeld - good post. The rest of the hockey world in the eastern US will not give credence to them as being really good unless they beat PHX and either NY or NJ in 5 or 6 games. East coast writers don't give much credit to west coast hockey as being in the same class.

As has been previously stated other posts, it is a shame espn gives no kudos to the NHL and doesn't consider the playoffs at this level worthy of much attention. I like other sports too but get tired of hearing about all the baseball games, basketball games, world soccer and MLS games, track and field events, who won the demolition derby and figure 8 races, who won the barrel jumping competition, the lumberjack competition. worlds strongest man competition, the chess championship, the lawn bowling championships and then as an afterthought we get a "Oh, and by the way in hockey today the Kings beat the Coyotes 4-2" or "the Rangers beat the Devils 3-0, and now for the top ten list".

Great article, as these three Kings do indeed constitute the best line in the game today ! ... no two ways about it. The fun part however, is that all four of LA's lines can strike without a moment's notice, so deep is the talent though out our teams' entire ranks ! :)
