The Pittsburgh Penguins went into the playoffs as the odds makers’ favorites to win the Stanley Cup…and were promptly eliminated by the Flyers.

Then the favorites became the St. Louis Blues…who were subsequently swept by Los Angeles.

And now?

Our condolences to the Kings.

The latest Cup odds, as per Bovada:

Los Angeles Kings 7/5

New York Rangers 11/5

New Jersey Devils 10/3

Phoenix Coyotes 6/1

We should note those are today’s odds, so last night’s result has been taken into consideration. However, the Kings were 2/1 favorites in Vegas before they beat Phoenix in Game 1, so they’re still totally screwed.

Screw the online bookmakers, Pittsburgh, Vancouver and Boston were 1, 2, and 4( i think) before round 1, St Louis was predicted to win before round 2

At this rate, it’s safer NOT to be pegged as the leader of the pack ( Bodes well for Coyotes )

Bookmakers are nothing more than “purveyors of vice” and as such they’re all scum ! Much like our team, we “true” Kings fans don’t care about “personal” financial gain and such … therefore we have no time for these parasitic opinions from Vegas. We love and support our team solely because they’re “our” team ! … and we will always love them, for better or for worse ! :)
