After two rounds of upset-filled playoff hockey, the East’s Stanley Cup finals representative will come from the Atlantic Division while the West’s answer will be a Pacific Division squad. On paper, the East’s No. 1 seed New York Rangers seem like they’d be the favorite, yet their opponents (No. 6 New Jersey Devils) and the West reps (No. 3 Phoenix Coyotes and No. 8 Los Angeles Kings) seem like their on top of their respective games.

So who takes the cake, then? Here’s a more visual look at the “final four” before you vote:

Eastern Conference

No. 1 New York Rangers vs. No. 6 New Jersey Devils

Western Conference

No. 3 Phoenix Coyotes vs. No. 8 Los Angeles Kings

42% of the people say the Kings !
    ———————————————

I’m really starting to think that you people may not be such a bad bunch after all ? :) Just kidding friends ! You’ve spoken in “no uncertain” terms here in O’Brien’s poll and thus you’ve shown again that “good judgement” will always carry the day ! I don’t like what’s about to happen to these Coyotes, any more than you do … but let’s all remember that it’s necessary.

    GO KINGS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is what’s going to happen going to look something like this?

    • blomfeld - May 13, 2012 at 1:08 AM

Friend, I’ve given you a thumbs up, even though I’m not normally in the habit of doing that … so count yourself lucky, eh ! :) Nonetheless, this sure reminds me of when I was young, as the Roadrunner used to always come on TV just before Hockey Night in Canada at 5:00 pm on Saturdays …. such nice memories. But in all seriousness, I do hope that we Kings don’t end up like Wile E Coyote in this episode ? … that wouldn’t be good man ? … no way man ! … ain’t gonna happen ! … we’re coming for you people and we’re coming hard !

      GO KINGS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. biasedhomer - May 13, 2012 at 1:08 AM

Go Kings! As a Flyers fan, I would love to see Mike Richards win the Cup!

    • biasedhomer - May 13, 2012 at 1:08 AM

and also Simon Gagne (his name should get on the Cup)

    • blomfeld - May 13, 2012 at 1:10 AM

      God bless you friend ! … :)

      • challer9 - May 13, 2012 at 9:09 AM

Well even if the Kings do win the Cup Gagne’s name won’t be on it since he hasn’t played in enough games this year.

      • cmdaw - May 13, 2012 at 1:48 PM

@challer9 There’s always the chance that the Kings could do what the Bruins did last year and petition for his name to be added.

  4. randygnyc - May 13, 2012 at 1:22 AM

King Henri and his ranger stick warriors. Naturally

  5. namriverrat69 - May 13, 2012 at 1:32 AM

The 2 best remaining teams are in the WCF. Whoever wins (I mean the Kings) should be able to handle either eastern team. GO KINGS!!

  6. cuffhimbanano - May 13, 2012 at 2:26 AM

Everyone is sleeping on Phoenix. Mistake. Coyotes in 7. I’m worried about the effectiveness of the Devils’ forecheck against the Rangers defensemen.
Go Devils! Either way, the series will go 6, at the very most.

    • wisbadgers - May 13, 2012 at 10:24 AM

Coyotes in 6. Their top guys haven’t even scratched the surface yet. Vrbata, Doan, Whitney!!! Find me another 20 year old defenseman playing like Larsson. And Mike Smith…I cannot wait to see the cat and mouse game between him and Quick.
They’ll win like they always do….Coyote Ugly!!!

  7. blanchonegro - May 13, 2012 at 4:48 AM

    Coyotes!

  8. saintmac9 - May 13, 2012 at 7:16 AM

    Coyotes!!!!

  9. neelyisgod - May 13, 2012 at 7:23 AM

Devils let Brodeur ride out a Champion one last time

  10. quonce - May 13, 2012 at 7:34 AM

    Devils Coyotes.

    Devils in 6

    • wisbadgers - May 13, 2012 at 10:30 AM

@quonce. If that happened, the nat’l media would be so pissed off. They’d have no one to talk about. But I agree except for the outcome. Right now, the two teams playing the greatest defense are the Devils and the Yotes. Just watch these two teams when playing a man down. And as they say, “Defense wins championships”. Here’s hoping for a Yotes/Devils Cup!!!

As I said in a post about a month ago, Devs defeat Kings. Thank you.

  12. gotampabay52 - May 13, 2012 at 8:20 AM

Sutter&Quick deserve the cup Go KINGS

  13. buffalo65 - May 13, 2012 at 8:31 AM

Make the NHL happy. LA New York final. Although the league owns the Coyotes so who know who they are cheering for?

  14. buffalomafia - May 13, 2012 at 8:38 AM

    Devils vs Kings

  15. Buffalo Grumblings - May 13, 2012 at 8:43 AM

Pens. Oh wait they got eliminated!! Kings

  16. chill1184 - May 13, 2012 at 10:08 AM

Red and Black all the way

  17. aphoticapex - May 13, 2012 at 10:18 AM

Rangers vs Kings with Rangers winning game 7 with one goal scored late in the third.

  18. jason9696 - May 13, 2012 at 11:04 AM

The Los Angeles Kings have impressed me the most of the 4 teams remaining. So I’ll be cheering for them to win the Stanley Cup.

If it’s a New Jersey-Phoenix Stanley Cup. I won’t be watching and I’m a big hockey fan. But neither of those two teams have the fan base deserving of a Stanley Cup Final.

I’d love to see an L.A.- New York Final. As I’m sure Gary Bettman would to.

  19. proudliberal85392 - May 13, 2012 at 11:47 AM

jason9696: We’re gonna miss you when we’re watching the Coyotes in the Final.

    • jason9696 - May 13, 2012 at 8:08 PM

I’ll be watching if they play the Rangers.

  20. Stiller43 - May 13, 2012 at 11:54 AM

I heard something like no team in the modern era has gone on to win the cup after playing 14 games in the first two rounds…and only one has won it playing 13 in the first two rounds…it doesnt mean the rangers wont, but i wouldnt bet on them.

    Go kings…or coyotes…

  21. Stiller43 - May 13, 2012 at 11:57 AM

God how upset would betman be if it was devils-coyotes…compare to the LA-NYR markets

  22. vindicatus - May 13, 2012 at 12:47 PM

Count Chocula will be very disappointed indeed when the Devils surprise everyone. Keep counting us out; we thrive as the underdogs! LET’S GO, DEVILS!!!!

And Happy Mothers’ Day to all the moms who aren’t Rangers fans!

  23. barroomhero80 - May 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM

    GO KINGS GO!!

  24. fhuizar - May 13, 2012 at 1:36 PM

When i saw phx play earlier this yr at staples i knew they had the potential to make a deep run in the playoffs. This team is scary. I love my kings though!!

  25. highlander24 - May 13, 2012 at 2:59 PM

Nothing would be sweeter than the lunatic blomfeld crying or silent on here. Phoenix to wipe the floor with the Queens.
