The REAL reason that tickets on StubHub are so cheap, is that the games are NOT sold out. For tonight’s game against the Kings, there were still good seats available from Ticketmaster at face value just 10 minutes before the faceoff, I was sitting in my seats in the arena just prior to faceoff, and I logged onto Ticketmaster with my phone. There were still seats available! A couple came in late and sat in 2 empty seats next to me in the 7th row at center ice, and they’d bought their tickets at the boxoffice. Ridiculous. THAT is the real reason why the secondary market for tickets on StubHub has such low prices – because you can still buy tickets at the boxoffice for face value right up until game time!

Minimal support during the regular season from a few hard core fans (and snow birds) and then, if the team manages to get into the playoffs and win, the building starts to fill.

Hopefully Phoenix will actually develop a solid season ticket holder base and have decent sized attendance throughout the year.
