And for the ppl who say, “oh I get it if you eat it’s okay” sarcastically and “oh so if I kill you, but eat you it is ok?”. You are NOT making any valid points and are ignorant! HELLO! If the law says you can hunt, then there is nothing wrong with it. If you kill a HUMAN and that is ILLEGAL so no it wouldn’t be the same.

Are the pol who are against hunting also against fishing? Do you wear leather? Do you eat meat products? You girls probably wear make up that is animal tested and made out of whale blubber. Unless you don’t eat animals and don’t use products made out of animals you have NO ROOM to talk about hunters! Fact. I’m not even a hunter and I’m defending their right to hunt!

Actually my brother in law uses a bow and arrow. It’s a lot harder than you think. Also for someone to say they are lacking something is stupid. My brother in law is a business owner. Like the on person said, there are too many deer and hunters help fund programs. Ignorant bastards.

you missed my point…people have a tendancy to pick and choose which forms of life are sacred…because they are cute. like i said bugs are pests and you dont care…but one guy shoots a deer because its a “beautiful animal” and its a big uproar

One thing that all you bleeding hearts do not understand is that hunters play an important role in the management of wildlife. The money raised from license fees goes directly to funding programs and studies to benefit wildlife. Licenses are allotted for different species based on herd numbers and what is required for the species to sustain itself without becoming over populated. If there are not enough deer harvested in an area than they can become too many and disease will spread and they all will die or they will eat all of the forage available and other animals will not have food. Also, if there are deer or moose or elk or whatever it might be in large numbers it increases the chances of accidents with motor vehicles leading to human deaths. Wildlife management is an important role of hunters and I don’t expect people that live in the middle of a big city, and very rarely even see an animal that isn’t on a leash or a tree that wasn’t planted by a landscaper, to understand.

You used the right phrase in describing what hunting currently consists of when you stated “the right deer didn’t show up”. In other words I’m going to park my ass in a tree, drink me a few brews and wait for an animal to mosie on by so I can try and shoot him with my big bad gun. Yep, that’s called hunting. you do realize that humans used to have to hunt to survive….and some still do. happens in alaska every year. a town kills a whale to sustain life, if they dont they starve…

My brother in law and his friends are hunters, but they eat the animal. What you non hunters don’t understand is that 95% of the time you don’t even shoot anything. There are plenty days where my brother in law comes home empty handed because the right deer didn’t show up. It’s not like you just shoot anything and everything you see. You need tags and have to obey the laws or there are huge fines. I don’t mind the hunting if you’re going to eat it, the hunting of “exotic” animals is stupid in my opinion.

Do you have an actual argument for or against, or do you just want to change the subject? Let me be clear, it really isn’t so much the act of killing as much as it is the intent. Hunting for food, I really don’t have a problem with, that is nature at work. What I cannot understand is finding joy in killing something, and let’s be honest here, that’s what the “sport” of hunting is all about. It’s about mouth breathing, dickless wonders thinking that shooting an animal proves something about their manhood. It’s about the “thrill of the hunt.” Although, how much of a thrill can be gained from hiding in the weeds or, even worse, up in a tree stand and picking animals off like a sniper? What kind of joy can be found in such a cowardly act?
