Family is from MN and WI. Has friends on the current roster of the Wild, and they are willing to offer him the best contract over any other team.

Say all you want about the Wild not being a ‘top contending team’ but when healthy they are (if you add Suter) and a couple of top prospects joining the team in 2012-2013. Granlund / Coyle / Brodin ?
