NHL announces start times, dates, TV for Eastern and Western Conference finals

It’s finally official.

Regardless of what transpires in Saturday’s Game 7 between the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals (7:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN), the Western Conference finals between Phoenix and Los Angeles will begin on Sunday and the Eastern Conference finals between New Jersey and New York/Washington will start on Monday (and open at either Madison Square Garden or the Prudential Center.)

2012 Western Conference finals (all times ET)

Game 1: Sunday, May 13, Los Angeles at Phoenix (8 p.m., NBCSN)

Game 2: Tuesday, May 15, Los Angeles at Phoenix (9 p.m., NBCSN)

Games 3-7: TBD

2012 Eastern Conference finals

Game 1: Monday, May 14, NJ/WSH at NYR/NJ (8 p.m., NBCSN)

Game 2: Wednesday, May 16, NJ/WSH at NYR/NJ (8 p.m., NBCSN)

Games 3-7: TBD
