Alexander Radulov played with “a little crack in the knee”

Alexander Radulov turned down an offer to play in the World Championships because he has “a little crack in the knee.” He called the injury minor, but he will probably need surgery.

“It was (all) season,” Radulov said. “It wasn’t bad pain, but I could feel it. It doesn’t bother my game. … It’s all fine.”

Despite Radulov’s claims to the contrary, it’s possible that his injury had a negative impact on his game. However, what his knee injury doesn’t explain is his decision to miss curfew before Nashville’s Game 2 loss in the second round. Radulov was handed a one-game suspension by the team for his rules violation.

Radulov is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer. He said he’d like to stay with the Nashville Predators.

Mike Fisher seems to be in favor of re-signing Radulov.

“He loves to play the game. You can see that in practice, his work ethic. He brought it,” Fisher said. “And we need that top offensive guy, and he showed flashes of that when he was here. It’s not always easy adjusting to the ice and I think he took a little bit of time, but he’s got all the tools and potential to be that guy.”

He knee injury does indeed explain the missed curfew. His knee hurt so he went out drinking. Then he got drunk and missed curfew. Seems pretty simple to me.

So, a cracked knee, maybe something that he should have mentioned during the “I wanna play in Nashville now!” thing? Or that the Preds should have noticed?

Sounds like he found a pretty good way to clean them out of a paycheck and wants to do it again, to me. Preds were a much better team without him.

No excuses for you!!!!! Stevie Y led the Wings to a cup with a torn knee……. Sorry, I should’nt be comparing a guy with heart like Yzerman, to Radulov.

I’m not sure where you saw a complaint in his statement

I didn’t say he complained. I am just hating on him. Cracked knee has nothing to do with violating team rules, and getting suspended by your coach. Guys from every team are going to get surgery this off season, so his is the last injury I care about. He is a doosh who deserves no defending. He came for a pay cheque and to set himself up for bigger contracts in the future. Radulov is a me first guy with no team attitude. Cracked knees are probally better to be rested than walked on while partying. So I guess my point was, I want him to leave NHL so I can hear about guys who want to win.

It all makes sense, he doesn’t sign long term to Nashville so they try to break his knee. Poor guy lol
