It’s amazing to me that there wasn’t a 4 minute minor for the high stick by Del Zotto but that’s the way things seem to go for the Caps which pisses me off.

You know, last nights game reminds me a lot of when the Rangers lost to Buffalo a few years ago in the second round. That was when Drury scored for Buffalo with 7.7 seconds left in game five of a tied series to force overtime, and the Sabers won the game. This time around it was the Rangers scoring with 7 seconds left in game 5 of a tied series to force overtime, where they won.

I also remember that the Rangers, who has actually been the better team in that Buffalo series, looked awful in game six. They simply were unable to recover from that mental blow. That doesn’t mean Washington won’t be able to this time around, but its going to be very hard.

The key to the Rangers success last night was the desparation they showed on the two power plays at the end. Whereas most times they lolly-gag up the ice like they have all day. Put as much emotion in the PP as we do in forechecking and the PK!
