Maybe you weren’t watching closely. I’m as big a Staal fan as anyone but, umm, how about that stellar giveaway that led to Rupp having to back check on defense and ultimately take a penalty?
He is not back to All Star Staal like he was last year. McD looks more like the Staal we knew the last 2 years.

Yea he is terrible in NHL 12 when you play on rookie. In regards to the actual game that was all star Staal. As for being consistent he came back from an injury and needs to get back to form and lately he has been back to form. Great plays defensively and great plays in the offensive zone. Watch the game don’t play it and then voice your opinion.

He made a great play to break up a 3 on 1 down the stretch and made some nice plays throughout the game. Don’t know what game you were watching….

He needs to be more consistent. Defensively he sucked last night but he made up for it with his offensive play.

He’s not all the way back… Maybe he won’t be until next season… But he’s playing well enough to make a huge difference on the blue line. He’s always made huge defensive plays with his stick, and he did that last night in the clutch.
