you have never heard anyone call milan lucic “cic” and your accusing me of being a bandwagon fan… I think you’ve too little isolated within your cabin in Maine by yourself.
Physical play is something the Bruins take pride in… this might be a new concept to you… but Milan Lucic is pretty good at it. The Bruins ability to push teams around definitely played a roll in winning the cup..

Hindsight 20 20, brown is lighting it up, his team is winning and is favored by many to win the cup. Guarantee you guys weren’t saying this about ‘cic last year.
Ya, he didn’t have a great playoffs this year and had some costly turnovers, but in my mind I know he’s better than that and, like I said earlier, the role that he plays on this team is important and is what separates the Bruins from flashy teams like the Penguins and Canucks who load up on big names.
The idea that Lucic alone is the reason we didn’t move on to the next round is ridiculous.
There is also something to be said about being loyal to the players that brought us the Cup last year, so that’s something to thing about as well.

No kidding. Brown brings less penalty minutes, constant physical commitment, unlike Lucic’s on-again off-again physical presence, extremely responsible defensive play and that gritty, never-quit leadership presence that Boston clearly lacked this year. Lucic is a guy with a fairly solid history now of coming up short when times are tough. Brown, meanwhile, appears to turn into a glorious one-man first line instead. I know which I’d rather take for a Cup run.

Why would you want your team to lose? I don’t really understand that.

Lucic is far from a god here. He’s a turnover machine, especially in the defensive one, and takes some of the dumbest penalties I’ve ever seen. Not to mention his complete disappearing act two straight postseasons in a row.

Sure, he’s a good player but I would make that trade straight-up in a heartbeat

At the time and all things being equal, that was a trade that should have been done. Both teams needed a shake up and that would have done it for both teams. Ultimately, the Kings have benefited by keeping Brown and the B’s couldn’t fulfill my chance at free furniture from Jordan’s by winning the cup again.

Lucic is a God in New England. I can confidently say I rather the Bruins lose in game 7 with Lucic then advance with Brown. Nothing against Brown, but like Haggerty said Lucic’s game fits in well with the character of this Bruins team. Love watching him play

Dustin Brown was ALWAYS the heart and soul of the franchise, that’s why he WASN’T moved at the deadline, because he has been doing this all season long…timely goals, timely hits, leadership on and off the ice…even during their struggles this season, he was the leader and the heart and soul.

You guys are only seeing this right now because the Kings have made their long-awaited deep run into the playoffs…and you are taking notice.
