As for smith, I don’t recall hornvquist taking a run at him last night. I do remember him standing there when he got cross checked in the back from Doan and as he fell down, Smith jumped on him and started throwing punches. He also did the same thing when they played the sharks and torey Mitchell got pushed into the crease and tried to get up and leave.

Now that the team actually has a set in stone owner, they can start selling the team on the ice as a product, and should help to re invigorate hockey in the desert.

On a side note, this is basically going to make or break Bettman as the commissioner. If this pans out, he won’t necessarily look like a genius, but people may be able to take him a little more serious.
