I think it will be easier for Kassian coming in from the start of training camp. Ditto for Booth. I thought Ballard was possibly their best defenseman in the playoffs but that contract is a bit of an albatross with a coach behind the bench that doesn’t seem to want to play him.

I like Gillis despite the Ballard and Booth trades but you can’t win them all. Too early to say how the Hodgson trade will work out. Even though most of the key players were here prior to his arrival I like the overall job he had done. Interested to see what he can get for lou.
