Here’s a question. Will Shanny keep up the suspensions at the start of next season or will this just become a playoff thing (for the exception of the over the top hits)? Consistency on the suspensions will never happen in my opinion. There will always be a fan that will compare another hit with a suspendable hit somewhere else. Will be interesting to see if the long summer causes amnesia on the hit rules. And that will cause PHT to light up with posts I’d bet (if I were a betting man).

Hey ginger if he started to be consistent now that would still be inconsistent. He just had a chance a day ago with ovechkin and did not suspend him. There is no objectivity what other league shows of video and breaksdown the before during and after of what happened to justify the suspension of a player. NHL is still a laughing stock. The only thing that should matter is the actual hit. Hit to the head 1 game -how simple is that. Who cares if he was mad or not. I mean shanahan bought Neil’s excuse that he didn’t see him and was bracing himself. Irrelevant – hit to head 1 game, 2nd hit to Giroux now you have 2 games. See how easy this is
