Jeff Carter and Mike Richards just called and said to say thanks to the Flyer organization. All of you Flyer fans come up with all of these nebulous facts, when the only facts that matter are Stanley Cup wins. If you don’t have them, you are not a winner, and are not “winning”. (That is unless you are Charlie Sheen). The game is played for one reason, and one reason only. To win the Stanley Cup. Who cares what your team is or isn’t doing if they are not winning the cup? That is the overaqrching goal of the collective team. No? Seems simple enough to me.

you homers do realize that pittsburgh has a population of around 300k and philly is over 1.6 million. you keep throwing this attendance thing around like it means something. pittsburgh just recently has been seeing economic recovery thanks to the medical and tech industries and are finally in the black at 0.8% GDP. and interestingly coinciding with your nhl attendance numbers, since 2005 they have experienced almost 4% in growth. geographically philly can benefit from sorrounding camden, wilmington, and a much denser metro population base with more money. its like comparing apples and oranges. pens fans have always been there, the money hasnt been though.

This article and the writer is a total joke. When Jaromir (top 10 player o f all time) says something you should respect it. He dominated Malkin all series and had a hat trick what else do you need to show hes a two way forward? Couturier was ranked #1 prospect going into the year until an injury and thats why he fell to us in the draft. Hes going to be a stud for years. i love all the flyers hate on here its hilarious. Look at this team… Couturier 19, schenn 20, simmonds 23, wellwood 22, voracek 23 JVR 23, matt read 25, giroux 25, ALL STUDS for the next years to come together. briere most clutch player in the league, hartnell 37 goals. talbot proven winner n leader. timonen leader, coburn great defensemen, mezjaros so underrated. bryzgalov shows signs of being really good. he was the 1st star of the month in march hehad 4 shutouts in 5 games. this team i GURANTEE they will win a Cup this year or the next 2 or 3 seasons. just keep hating but youll see it

Please. It is amazing that two weeks ago, all of the storylines were bragging that Couturier was the next coming, and now “the comparison isn’t too accurate from an offensive standpoint “. Well, which is it? Even the “Greatest player on the planet” has not really been heard from. Can’t wait to hear the Philly fans start making excuses as to why. Amazing what happens when a team actually plays defense, and doesn’t let all of the Flyers stand in front of the net and get out hustled to the pucks.
Can we start the “maybe next year” chants?
