First, whats the big deal about keeping the cage? All these players probably used visors when they played in juniors anyway... and if given the choice, I don't know many college players who would stick with a cage. I sure as hell know it was the most annoying thing about playing in college. Not to mention all the full shield does is cut down on mostly minor injuries, while leaving you more vulnerable to dangerous concussions. Keeping the cage is MORE dangerous to players then removing it would be... and those of us who actually play the game have known that for a long time now.

Second, the debate about pros being forced to wear a visor is a whole different debate. I think adults making the choice to play a dangerous sport are more then capable of making such choices for themselves. Don't want to wear a vistor and risk taking a puck to the head? Knock yourself out. Who are you to tell a professional that YOU know whats best for them?

Of course I sure as hell wouldn't opt not to wear a visor sicne I actually have taken a shot to the face and know how bad it hurts. However that would be my choice as a player. People who don't play the game (I would bet big money you don't) should stay the hell out of these issues. You don't play the game, so you have no idea what your talking about... and you certainly shouldn't shouldn't be saying what a player should be forced to do.

They want to reduce head injuries at all costs?

Keep the cage...

At the very least the Pro's should be required to wear a visor, I believe it should be grandfathered in, everyone drafted from 2012 on, should be required to wear one.

are they gonna leave it up to the player? A full cage certainly hurts your vision but pucks to the teeth aren't that friendly either. It should be a personal choice, i'm in favor of giving the college players more choices.
