If ur sitting two of ur best then ur either dumb or you never should have signed those players originally. That being said, these guys should learn their lesson because this is a pretty rare move. Refreshing to see the coach have more power than the player.

You could make that argument but, as Mike noted, these two guys have been good for the Preds during the playoffs. Trotz is sending them a pretty strong message here but it doesn’t seem like the right time to be doing that. If I’m him I want those two guys in the lineup in a crucial game.

Read the stat line provided on Tootoo and Halischuk, and tell me why you wouldn’t play them in game 4. Those are the stats and things needed in order to win playoff games. Hard work kicks the crap out of skill when skill dosnt want to work hard. So anyone using Radulovs skill for a reason he should play, must be new to the NHL playoffs. He needs one more game to really get the message. Trotz is a gritty coach so this is a good call.

They made a big effort to get Radulov back for the playoffs, so you might as well see how he responds to the suspension. I watched their last game and Tootoo played an amazing game. I’m not sure how you take him out. If I were to make the decision, I would try play Tootoo and Radulov. Then people stop focusing on the media circus around the suspensions.

The best teams I have ever played on growing up weren’t always the most talented. It was the guys that got along well. We all knew we were working hard and actually cared about each other. I had teams with guys who had individual goals and egos and the team suffered because of it.

Obviously these guys don’t care about the rest of the team or the goals that some of these guys want to achieve. Some of these Nashville players have spent their whole careers, heck lives, dreaming of making a Cup run…these 2 guys make a Bar run?

I have Rads on my Playoff fantasy roster and need him to play, yet this is the best decision for the team….and for Trotz. You can’t win, switch the lineup and lose and still save face with fans or the media. This covers his back…don’t think that isn’t a factor.

Send them back to Russia. They don’t want to be here. Lifting the cup doesn’t have the same meaning for many Russian players as it does for ALL North American players. It obviously doesn’t mean a great deal to those two.

wholeheartedly agree. play the same lineup that not only played the game you wanted, but won as well. they are no longer suspended, just benched for players that played within the system and bought in. adjustments will be made for game 5 and they may or may not be needed then.

Fisher hasn’t set the world on fire himself. Had a good Game 2 though.

Agree 100% with leaving them out. The NHL playoffs need more than the basic commitment those idiots were giving. Mike Fisher probably wants to kick their ass himself.

One loss that is what it will take. However the Preds are going back to who they are and that will be enough to win the next three from the Yotes.
