riles, that’s morale. Anyway, this was the 46th 3OT game in NHL history. Of the previous 45, the losers of the 3OT games bounced back to win the series in 10 cases, including the most recent 3. The winners of the marathons won the series in the other 35 cases; those include a few in which the marathon ended the series.

If they didn’t have an additional day to rest, then their chances of evening the series in Game 4 might have been in doubt. They played extremely well in all three zones and it could have gone either way.

its the playoffs the caps still have a chance, its one game and anything i mean ANYTHING can happen in the playoffs the rangers still need to win two more games. as far as im concerned the caps are very much still in this series.. even if the rangers go up 3-1 the caps can still come back.. never write anyone off in the playoffs like i said anything can happen. dont believe me? ask the boston bruins who fell to my beloved Philadelphia Flyers two years ago after going up 3 zip..
