Karl Alzner’s dogs didn’t take last night’s loss too well

May 3, 2012, 11:04 AM EDT

Presumably this is what happens when you tell your dogs you’ll be home right after your game is over…then your game goes to triple overtime.

source:

That picture courtesy Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner’s (@karlalzner) Twitter account, which he tweeted last night with the message, “Dogs not happy about the loss either.”

When asked for comment, the dogs told Alzner they couldn’t believe Ovi hit the post. Also, not to go into the kitchen, because it’s waaaaay worse in there.

..all too familiar a sight. The dogs always look so happy after destroying your house, too. makes it hard to be angry.

the funniest part of this picture is the dog “crate” in pieces in the background. i bet he’ll put that thing together before saturday.

Part of me wondered if it was assembled when he left the house!

That is awesome. I know that situation all too well minus the professional athlete in the playoffs.

I even like Alzner a little bit now even though Lucic should have pummeled him.

it was probably the little weiner dog. he looks like a little punk wagging his tail like that

Definitely. A dog that silly-looking is probably used to getting away with murder. I have a corgi and I usually can’t take her seriously enough to punish her. She’s far too stupid for it to sink in anyway.

That plant in the living room could use a little water, too.
