Are you nuts? I'd say he is pretty relevant - from the Buffalo News - "Tampa Bay's Stamkos works with Roberts and has grown into a 60-goal scorer and MVP finalist. Pittsburgh's James Neal scored 40 times. Florida's Stephen Weiss has turned into a perennial 20-goal scorer. Carolina's Jeff Skinner was the 2011 Rookie of the Year."
And besides that, exactly what did Kassian do (and how much did he play) after the trade?
The biggest problem with that trade is Kassian won't fit in on the team, he is not one to constantly dive when someone touches him!

Who's angry...?

The highlight of my hockey season was seeing Kesler getting guzzled by Kronwall, followed by the predictable exit of Canucks in round one [ I and thirteen million other people called it when LA went out and got Daryl Sutter ].

Everyone's still laughing, and anger does fit in the equation...Canucks and their supporters, not as mirthful but angrier still!

The biggest problem I see facing Canucks supporters and supporters of franchises located as they are, away from any ability to engage the sport as players, is the fact they have to rely on perceptions born of being observers, and as observers with no practical experience actually playing the game, they rely on the garbage served-up by the likes of 'no call' Garrett and his kind. The sort of delusional and misrepresentative sports journalism perpetrated on the good folks of the lower mainland has engendered the biggest collection of whining boors and poor-sport patties west of Quebec!

I cite the 2011 Cup presentation booing and the post-game rioting as the manifestation of a sense of entitlement and disappointment fostered by the slobbering media hype attributed an undeserving team.

This season's Canucks calamity was the real bench-mark of just how ordinary the team really is [ speaking of not answering the bell ]? There you go, you've got me howling with laughter again...

whoa you're an angry bear.

Can't we get more creative than 'whiners'? Whining about what? Officiating? I couldn't imagine teams complaining about officiating. Cheap shots causing injury? Wouldn't dream of hearing another team complain about that.

So what is it wise bear?

It's just a case of Roberts grasping for relevance in an NHL that's past him by [ unfortunate for everyone but Johan Franzen ]? Or maybe he's auditioning for work on TSN or CBC; he'd be a hell of an addition if he were to bring half of what he did on-ice to on-air? I think use of the term 'moron' was unfortunate; Gillis is hardly a moron! Just look at how he bamboozled Canucks supporters into thinking preening pretentious diving light-in-the-loafer hockey was representative of the man's game? No, I would have preferred the term 'purple-faced whining cry-baby that sucked the heart out of an otherwise proud franchise' as being more apt. Shame on you Gary...

I don't think there's any public perception painting Cody as the bad guy here, I'm pretty sure everyone sees Cody as a good hard working kid.

The problem seems to be his family/camp and there inability to stop meddling in his business (although he is just 21yo's) whether it's with his team or his (3 and counting) agents.
