PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

The Devils are going to do their best to not make things exciting for themselves in Game 2. Going down 2-0 in the series is that scary of a possibility. (Fire & Ice)

New York’s Ryan Callahan said the Capitals “were more desperate” in Game 2. That’s one way to put it. (

Joe Haggerty says the Bruins are going to go all out to find a top scoring winger this summer. Wonder if they’ll talk to Columbus. (

Give it up to Viktor Stalberg for being willing to take the abuse for how bad Chicago’s power play was in the playoffs. (

The devils are already playing with Flyer. And they will probably come out burned. Flyers in 5.

flyers are overrated. 10-3 pens. devils in 5

The Bs may talk to Columbus, but unless they are giving up Rask as part of the deal, they aren’t getting Nash. Columbus has made it very plain that a bonafide #1 G will have to be part of a deal to get Nash.

Rassk and a pick for Nash… That could work… The BJs wanted a lot for that guy… Maybe get rid of that scumbag Marchand as well.

Oh yeah flyers lot 10-3…. Won 8 of the 12 games against the pens this year. I would not talk if I were you.

Don’t think Bs are giving up Rask. LAK & STL are obvious trading partners for CBJ. Both have a top goalie to spare. STL could probably put together the better package around the goalie they send but that’d mean Nash would be coming back into Columbus 3x a season.
