McGuire was runner up to Chuck Fletcher for the Wild gig a few years ago. I think he has a decent chance of being a decent GM. Havs could do worse, like Doug Risebrough.

I fourth that? He does do rather good rinkside interviews, and it’s no easy task to keep them from being completely formulaic. But besides his Olczyk weirdness, he also too often tries to pack too much info into each comment. We don’t need to know what Ovechkin’s high school principal had for supper last Thursday. And not every shot or save is “unbelievable”!! So, go Habs go!

Giguere is a nice guy, I’ve met and talked with him…. but… this is good for the Habs.

His tenure with the Avs was… tenuous and unproductive. G is not the right man for the Habs job.

I’m always amazed at the ‘Retreading with Hope as a Strategy’ that goes on in Pro Sports.
