friend, that is positively beautiful ! … I know that we kid around here a lot, but on this one I’m with you 100%, even though my gut hurts because I’m laughing so hard ! … look, I live about 2 miles from “fembot central” here in Vancouver and so I “know the deal” with that … nonetheless, any real hockey fan knows that “flakes” come from all countries … just as there’s good & bad, fat and skinny, smart & dumb from all countries … my point is however, that hockey is “indigenous” to us North Americans, while the same cannot be said for the Euros … before WW2, there was no organized hockey “so to speak of” in Europe like there was here in North America … we invented this game and therefore it’s in our blood … and when something is in your blood, your zeal and passion takes you above all else, especially during trying times !

ps: please note that when I include our American brothers, I’m referring to the northern-based “Yankee” teams (ie: those teams located within 300 miles of the Canadas) … apart from our glorious LA Kings, hockey is simply not indigenous to the cities and folk of the former “Confederacy”, God bless them all the same … just as hockey isn’t indigenous to the people of Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam or Vienna …

It’s fascinating in a way, as it sure does speak volumes about the pride of NHL hockey players, eh ? Say what you will, but Canadian and American hockey players are in my opinion, the most honest and “values-driven” athletes of all ! … of course the Euro’s are good too, but they just don’t have the same heart and resolve when the going gets tough ! … never did, never will …
