I don’t really disagree with you on Laich but being the leader and being a good leader are two different things. And I think the reason they gave OV the c was in hopes that Laich and the other canadians would rally around him because theres no way 8 and Sasha minor are following the canadians anywhere.

In fairness it’s not like OVI has proven himself as the leader of the team. He was gifted the ‘C’ in hopes he’ d become the leader maybe in hopes of keeping him up there with Syd. He didn’t call Gabby a fat f*ck like OVI or lead Gabby out the door like OVI. OVI is the coolest guy in the room as long as Ted would rather be his BFF instead of his boss! Laich, Hendricks, Beagle & Knubble are the leaders of the team both on the ice and off. OVI is only the exciting star with all the ability to be great!

You guys couldn’t be more wrong “BL21″ is an actor in the worst way. He’s way more like Chris Cooley or Mike Green than the quiet strong leader show he puts on. He loves the spot light he loves being on the sports junkies and doing latisys commercials. I think he alienates his teammates especially the russian guys with his holyer than thow act. And now Alzner is riding his coattail making comments about other peoples ice time. This isn’t leading this is divisive. Im sure I’ll get killed for this but I really think the players on my favorite team just plain do not like each other.

Yea as a huge caps fan i totally agree with this. I think ovi’s lead by example garbage isnt quite working….

Brooks should be the captain. I say this every year. He’s the voice of the team and clearly the most dedicated. The locker room drama has got to go.

You’d think the captain would be the guy in charge of that kind of stuff. I’m reading some locker room drama between the lines here.
