Bryz also has never had a team with this much talent in front of him. Those Phoenix playoff teams were garbage! Last round he faced the most prolific scoring team in the NHL this year so its safe to say no other team left has the firepower to match pittsburgh, so you keep hatin while bryz’s playoff numbers keep dropping round to round this year and we keep moving on!

Actually he has a .915 Save Percentage in the regular season (career) and a .909 Save Percentage in the playoffs (career).
So yes, he is worse in the playoffs, that is exactly what I’m saying.

You inspired me to look at Bryz’s replacement in Phoenix, Mike Smith.
2011 (Lightning) 3 games, 2 goals, 0.958 Save Percentage, 1.00 Goal Against Average
2012 (Coyotes) 7 games, 15 goals, 0.947 Save Percentage, 1.91 Goal Against Average

So, you tell me, who’d you rather have? Bryz who’s best save percentage in the playoffs is 0.922 whereas Smith’s worst is 0.958. Also, Bryz’s best GAA is 2.25 whereas Smith’s worst is 1.91.
GAME…SET…MATCH.

I’m not trying to compare Smith and Bryz, all I’m saying is Bryz struggles EVERY YEAR in the playoffs. A lot of money for a guy who can’t handle pressure.

By the way, his career save % in the regular season and the playoffs is identical. So it is incorrect to say that a regular season Bryz is better than a playoff Bryz.

I never said he was dominant, so don’t try and put words in my mouth. But he’s had two good/solid years in the playoffs, and one bad year against a team that Phoenix was heavily overmatched against. This year he hasn’t been great, but it’s still in progress.

2007 (Anaheim) 5 games 10 goals, 0.922 Save Percentage 2.25 Goals Against Average
2010 (Coyotes) 7 games, 24 goals, 0.906 Save Percentage 3.44 Goals Against Average
2011 (Coyotes) 4 games, 17 goals, 0.879 Save Percentage 4.36 Goals Against Average
2012 (Flyers) 7 games, 24 goals, 0.873 Save Percentage, 3.70 Goals Against Average.

So, what you’re telling me is that since 2010 when he finally became a full time goalie, having a goalie who gives up more than 3 goals a game in the playoffs is considered dominate in your world? The reality is he’s tough as nails during the regular season and soft as a pillow in the playoffs. He cannot handle the pressure.

A regular season Bryz is much better than a playoff Bryz. How many goals has he averaged/game in the last 3 playoffs. I even recall the game 7 vs Detroit when he was with Phoenix when he gave up 3 goals in the first 7 minutes.
Take it at face value, he sucks in the playoffs.
