Man.. What a bust! That game 1 will show you what JVR can bring to a team…big goal, ton of chances and screened Brodeur on the OT Winner… But keep giving up on him bc he hasn’t dominated quickly enough for you.

It doesn’t matter if he was 1st or undrafted, JVR needs to do what he does best… Get clutch goals. He always seems to score at big moments. Him, Mr. Playoffs and vorACEk on the same line sounds like a very good line 2… Honestly if it was not for the Czech, dangle, fall line I’d say that could be a line 1 if the chemistry works.

I strongly agree, a 22 is not even close to being considered a bust. Did you watch the playoffs last year and the year before? When JVR is healthy he can play big roles. Right now the flyers aren’t desperate enough to risk him getting injured by playing him more than he needs to. Right now he’s just a better option than Rinaldo. That being said Let’s Go Flyers! ! !!!

No, the above article has nothing to do with where he was picked…… you obviously missed the point of it AND my comment. I’m not sure how you can consider ANY 22 year old kid a bust yet…… Plus, draft position and age has literally NOTHING to do with being able to play 12-15 minutes in the first game or 2 back after a broken foot, which was IN A PLAYOFF GAME, by the way. I’m not the biggest JVR fan in the world, but you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. No coach in their right mind with a team as deep as the Flyers is going to play that kid more than 10 minutes coming off a major injury against the Penguins.

Yes it has to do with where he was picked. He is VERY close to being considered a bust and he is 22 so he should be able to step right in and play 12-15 minutes a game.

Soft is as soft does. JVR is not bad, but is far from the real deal. The whole league knows that if you hit him hard
on his first shift, he disappears.

This has nothing to do with where he was picked, it has to do with the fact that he’s just coming back from a broken foot and after another week of rest he can play a bigger role in this series than last bc of an extra week of conditioning. Pretty hard to come back after a few months and play 20 minutes a game.
